I just want to explicitly say here, I am just a BU student. Anything posted on here does not actually reflect the opinion of Jack Parker, BU hockey, or BU administration. Apparently that needs to be cleared up. GOOD LUCK ON EXAMS!
Anonymous asked: I'm so glad that at least someone isn't immediately siding with the girl in the whole Trivino situation simply because she is a girl. I mean, yes, obviously he did something very stupid, and this is a terrible blow for the hockey team and the school, but if you look at the story so far, the RA did not act intelligently, and you can't, without hearing both sides of the story, just blame Trivino for attempted rape. Because it does not seem AT ALL like that's what went down.
Exactly. He definitely should get in some form of trouble for what he did. Attempted rape is a big accusation, so I want to hear both sides of the story before I make it up in my mind if I think he is guilty of it. Again, I’m not saying that I think the girl is making up details or that she is not a victim. All anyone knows about it is from the stories circulating the internet. Unless you were there when it happened, there is no way you can definitely say that either Trivino tried to rape her or that she skewed the details.
andyoureasupernova asked: I applaud the fact that you answered the question about trivino. You could have just ignored the question. It's call freedom of speech, and the asker who called you a p.o.s seems to be unaware that because we're Americans that we can use freedom of speech and not be threatened because of what we say. Perhaps they should take civics again. Anyway, congratulations on enacting your first amendment rights!
Thank you for the support. i think this is a good point, everyone is entitled to their own opinion about Trivino. If you think he’s a piece of shit, good for you. If you question the charges, good for you. I welcome conversation about it, I just dont think there is need for any hostility.
ismylaundrycleanyet-deactivated asked: you're a piece of shit of a person for that post about trivino. give me a time and a place.
How exactly am I a piece of shit? All I said was that I’m not siding with either party of the matter and that I could see support for either party.
Anonymous asked: what is your take on the trivino incident?
I’m currently on the fence regarding the matter. On one hand, it’s sort of karma that this is happening since it’s pretty fair to generalize that a good majority of the hockey team think that they can get away with anything and everything. If the RA actually did feel threatened by Trivino, then I hope she is getting some relief with it all. However, to me it doesn’t all add up. I know that she has to open the door due to her RA duties, but if she did feel threatened why didn’t she call the resident director immediately instead of after the third time he came into the room? Also, (this is just based off of the articles that I have read), it honestly seems like Trivino was piss drunk and just wanted to sleep. From personal experience, when the hockey players are piss drunk they do indeed act very stupidly, but I haven’t really seen any of them to get this violent. I’m waiting to hear more details about what happened to actually decide who I feel bad for. However, if the girl is blowing this out of proportion (and I’m not saying that she is), I hope she realizes what she is doing because she just ruined his life. Let’s face it, what else could a Canadian-born hockey player like Trivino do with his life now that he’s kicked off the team?
